A number of news stories and articles out there mention that water spiked with cayenne pepper has helped a number of persons lose weight and maintain their weight. And much has been said about what the water cayenne pepper diet has made on the body of Beyonce Knowles. Based on the same news stories, the singer managed to lose as much as 20 pounds just by following the diet. These pieces of news that are posted on many websites may be the news that dieters and impressionable young girls have been waiting for; the diet that can served as their road towards greater self-fulfillment. But what is this new diet and where is this based?

If the reports are to be read carefully, it seems that the water cayenne pepper water diet that was adopted by the singer was partly based on the popular Master Cleanse diet that was popularized decades ago by Stanley Burroughs. The original diet plan that was designed and planned by Stanley Burroughs was geared towards eliminating the body of the unwanted toxins. In the process of eliminating these toxins, the people who undergo the diet often lose weight. So the original intention of the Master Cleanse diet wasn’t really to reduce the weight of the person, rather to remove the toxins out of the body.

The water cayenne pepper diet is completely different from the other diets that are introduced in the market. If the usual diets that are offered calls for the removal or the limitation of the sugar and the fat intake and some others call for the elimination of carbohydrates; this diet calls for the complete elimination of food from the system. The diet calls for a complete fasting and this is usually done from ten to forty days. In the absence of food items, only water is suggested. The water under this diet is often mixed with lemon, maple syrup and the cayenne pepper. This old diet is the basis of the water cayenne pepper diet that is popular right now.

The drink is made from water, maple syrup, lemon and cayenne pepper. The drink is basically lemonade that is spiked with cayenne pepper. The pepper is the herb that helps the drink gets its ‘kick’. The maple syrup on the other hand is the one used to sweeten the drink. And to make the drink and use this as part of the dieting plan, a person needs 2 tablespoon of lime or lemon juice, 2 tablespoon of real maple syrup, 1/10 teaspoon of cayenne pepper and 8 oz water. The first three ingredients should be combined in a jar and then water can be added. Just shake and in no time, the drink is ready to be consumed. The Master Cleanse diet of yesterday has its share of problems and side effects such as dizziness and vomiting. And remember as well that the newest variation of the diet, the water cayenne pepper diet may offer possible problems and side effects as well, so it is important to follow it with care.
